H-Review rated The Forgotten Island

H-Review rated a game 1 year ago
A browser game made in HTML5.

On the upper end of Russian created RPG maker adult games.
Has an interesting story, although predictable in some places.

However, it has absolutely horrendous excuses to start sex scenes.
As this genre normally goes, the guy's just so incredibly interesting and girls are so easy to fall for compliments and gifts. Its lazy, but clearly, the author is more interested in the story their telling than the porn.
Which is fine. You want to focus on your story? do that-

but that won't excuse the amount of grinding required.

RPG maker games have some kind of staple with grinding, whether it be gaining levels or runs for resources, there's a grind that you have to make, and this one chose resources.

For example, swamp ore is difficult to acquire when its first introduced to you. Its called Swamp Ore even when put through a translator from the game's original language, Russian. So, being that its called swamp ore, a player would assume that the ore is only obtainable in the swamp area.

Given that you need a lot of it (30+) and there's one location to consistently mine swamp ore in the swamp leading up to a tough battle, A player would assume they need better gear since they are doing decently in fights against the enemies of the area.
So the player is going to assume they either need to grind a hell of a lot more, or make swamp ore runs.
Since there was one rock that consistently respawned in the swamp, I personally- just hacked it in. I wasn't willing to spend the time to walk back and forth. What i didn't know, was that later, there would be a cave area with swamp ore in it.

Maybe that made sense to the creator, a swamp cave has swamp ore, but it can leave players with a  "well shit" if they've already done the grind.

Average to good. rounded up. I'll be watching your further releases.
