Hampsart rated Under Your Skin [DEMO]

Hampsart rated a game 1 year ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Overall I really liked this game, but there were a couple things that bothered me. For example, the constant repetition of words and actions got old pretty fast. I feel like the player doesn't need to be constantly reminded that Veiss's eyes are pink :'D or that the mc looks away, unable to meet those pretty pink orbs. The pacing also has some problems, and I feel like the game is scared of letting time pass, say for example, a week. I think it would make Veiss's later actions more understandable, but then again, I also understand that the game has its own time format that it follows. It just creates this weird situation where Veiss is apparently 'done playing nice' after what, a day and a half? But then again, he is pretty unhinged so maybe his patience is also abnormaly short. I also feel like the characters don't have proper dialogue even though they speak a lot. I feel like nothing of substance is being said, at least on mc's part. They only repeat that Veiss doesn't know them, that they hate him, and that he needs to shut up. But then again, maybe they just forgot how to speak with someone after being alone for so long, but it does take away from my personal enjoyment of the game. For the romance part, it is just super YA style, where they bicker in the style of 'I hate you- No you love me and I'm hot and you know you want me' ...which is fine, for those that enjoy books written in this genre, it just isn't something I personally enjoy. Overall the game has a lot of potential, but the writing fails to give it any real substance.
