A short, punchy character drama; you'll like this if you liked Mouthwashing. Not short for any lack of content, but because this game is tightly-focused. Created with a loving eye for detail, it has everything it needs and nothing it doesn't; like a stage play with minimalistic scenery, its simple, cartoony style and sparse "levels" use a whole little to do a whole lot.
The two leads, Angel and Lee, are very fun to follow. While there's an element of fantasy (as in all good horror stories and all good love stories), what makes the two stand out are their deeply human parts, true-to-reality character elements that remind me of myself, of people I know, a familiar stew that breathes life into these characters. As above, Homie's eye for detail serves him very well.
I've said little about the plot because this game is best experienced blind. Simple plot beats are delivered cleverly, with sleight of hand worthy of a stage magician, disarming the player and ensuring that every moment lands the way it should, even if you're as jaded as I am.
Spend an afternoon or evening getting to know Angel and Lee. You won't regret it.
