Me and a lot of other kids who grew up 'round the same time have an almost ingrained love and appreciation for brick breaking games. From the OG's like Arkanoid to the rose coloured glasses love of those 99-In-1 handheld's you'd find for two bucks back in the day that were chock full of brick related gaming. It's in the DNA of videogames.

It's no easy task to pull something from that era in the modern day and keep it fresh while also being worth multiple plays. Beautiful Bricks hits that there almost impossible task. It encapsulates the "Retro Modern Aesthetic" many indie games strive for, with everything looking familiar 'til something surprising pops up that you wouldn't have seen in the old age. Part bronze age, part platinum.

It's been great to see this game become the being that it is since first giving it a go at the Hybrid World event here in Adelaide a few years back (it kept me coming back to that spot over the weekend too) as well as playing it in various builds before this FINAL FORM on Steam.

TL;DR - It's brick and it's sick. Well worth adding to anyone's collection.
