Raven rated Lurking For Love (DEMO)

Raven rated a game 1 year ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

I wish this game had a comment section.

I was skeptical at first --the potential love interests do not look like someone I'd like at all. Must be a texan look, but I am not a fan.

That said, Jacob turned out to be really sweet.
Potentially a bit obsessed and socially awkward and going about things in the wrong way, but cute enough.
(I presume a lot of what happens is his work, mind you. The braindead postman I can't imagine have the wits or caring to do those things.
I keep hoping the ass ends up dead. Anyho....)

Jacob seems like the kind of guy who'd be nice as long as you don't push him. (Presuming he is the yandere.) Which makes him a lot safer to be around than the alternative. (Provided you don't try to leave, obviously.)

Of course, this is psychologically speaking. I have no clue what the game creator actually have planned. They're not always logical. Sadly.

I will keep my fingers crossed that the creator will allow the MC choices that DOESN'T mesh with the idiot things the average person does (such as running away screaming if someone they love kill someone in a sweet display of protectiveness. Sheezh. Some people just don't appreciate things.)

So far the choices have been fine, if a bit limited.
But the situations haven't been very complex either.

The demo ends in a jump-scare-ish thing that I hope is going to turn out to be nothing, because if it is something, it comes out of nowhere with zero logic. (I refuse to believe for one second that a yandere or stalker or anyone would not first try and win you the normal way --however socially awkward-- and have to be rejected before they kidnap you.)

It's only natural to protect the one you love.
Even in that Netflix show "You" he never hurts the woman he loves until she force him to with her idiotic behavior, and he gives her MANY chances.

So what I'm saying is this:

The game looks good thus far, and I have high hopes for how it will turn out.

The only real drawback is the art style, the looks of the love interest, and the personality of them. Which, I admit, is not bad generally speaking --it's just not my type.

I also hope it will end up on Steam so I can buy it there, because my paypal is stuck in limbo, and I dislike buying games anywhere else.

Either way: Good enough game. So far. ^_^
