Back in 2021, I had played the demo for the game "Nihil: The Watcher" and, from what I remember, had a really good time with it. Thus, I was excited to see what a more full game experience would be.

To be honest, what I found was pretty underwhelming. Maybe my tastes have changed in 3 years, or maybe I have nostalgia glasses on, but this newer version of that story didn't hit for me.

• There wasn't much of a hook in build 1 for me; considering the fun things that showed up in N:TW, this felt kinda bland and not memorable by comparison
• The MC had a tendency to monologue to give exposition rather than let the story itself deliver the information.
• Everything felt a little too "over-explained "...like it didn't trust the reader to be able to read between the lines.
• The Lion character wasn't very interesting. You can have interesting asshole characters, but he kinda just didn't bring much to the table to compliment the character of the MC.
• A small point, but I kinda miss the original art style...the expressions stood out a bit more in N:TW, especially on the salamander character.

All in all, I can't recommend this game in it's current state. Should it get revised at some point and there be a bit more of some meat on the plot, i'd be willing to give this a second look.
