Izumi Games rated Shattered Souls Demo

Izumi Games rated a game 1 year ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

This has to be one of the best indie otome demos I've ever played in my life. First of all, the art is stunning. I love it so much. Character designs, UI, CGs, animations... everything! The writing omg.. I've never read such good writing in a while. The style, the plot, the characters... they're everything! I CANNOT choose a love interest as I want them all haha. The music? Top notch. It's on repeat now on my youtube playlist. That vocal is sick!!! The VOICE ACTING OMG. This is the best OELVN when it comes to voice acting. The audio engineering behind is so superb, everything was crisp, clear, has equal volumes. THE ACTING OMG. I REALLY LOVE THE VOICE ACTING. This is such a rare occurence. I've never skipped a dialog all throughout becoz I wanna finish hearing the voices! Even the side characters cast are so talented!!!!! I love the voice direction in this, they're all cohesive and it feels like I'm watching a movie/anime! But what really made me "okay, I'm really sold.", is the direction of Shiro's scene when there was a little girl demon trying to attack Celest. The voice acting, paired with the visuals and animation, sfx, writing, intense dialogue, AND the upbeat suspense music. All elements really united there and made a wonderful melody of a glimpse on what to expect on the full game. I haven't backed a kickstarter ever and it made me want to open the KS page immediately.  The number of love interests initially made me worry, but seeing that the main game's writing on the kickstarter page that it's finished, I have confidence this game will get to its goal. I REALLY HOPE TO PLAY THE FULL GAME OF THIS. My soul will shatter if I don't. 😂 For now, I'll play Glass Heart while I wait. Thank you for creating this demo, it made me feel like I'm back in highschool enjoying playing otome games purely for enjoyment (I'm a dev too, so I often can't help but also treat playing games as game research). But this made me forget all of my worries in a while and made me giggle multiple times. I hope the devs for the best!

P.S. I loved it when she cursed Ryan on her dream. That was satisfying af. Cliffhanger is just enough to make us crave more, but also satisfied enough to not be impatient. Kudos!
