Meta-humor, dialogue and intermissions, are kinda of the main crutch i see in the novel, it feels forced, the childish fantasy tone is kinda at odds with the lore and world-building, sometimes it's whimsical and not offensive, yet sometimes the dialogue is just forced, and exposition is shoehorned, mysteries could simmer for a better pay-off yet they often don't , I feel this has potential to be very unique and interesting, like I'm sold on this, just a bit more polish and time in the oven, and this could be so much better
