I love the feel immediately from the choice and perspective of the illustration, the golden glow of the scene. The Jester's voice over is beautiful, and Ziri's longing is visceral. Quite the contrast to the viewpoint character, who hasn't yet experienced loss in life, which makes the endings all the more powerful, and the changes on subsequent playthroughs definitely.. inspires regret. I think this story will touch home for a lot of people, especially creative types. Failure at one time or another is inevitable.
