Sapling is a really intense story about what happens after escaping abuse.  a really interesting spin on the "revenge fantasy" genre that takes a more critical look; its not all gratuitous ultra-violence and girl power (for one, holden is a male victim of abuse). sapling is also a really satisfying story about companionship and healing with a satisfying, cathartic end.  Also, everyone is queer, so jot that down.
