I love how this story presents heavy, emotional, thought provoking ideas, then further illuminates or contrasts them with lovely little pieces of daily minutiae (Kathy is a master of this, they also weave the two together wonderfully in Half an Hour).  Very lucky to get to go on the journey of this story with such a capable and empathetic writer at the helm.
