There's the start of a fun short idea here. The biggest detracting element is the modern looking UI prompts that are constantly present and the sometimes less than responsive interacts. I mean I would press E to get in the Car or enter the vent or clean up a pile and there'd be measurable seconds before the interact happened.
It's a good setting though. Vents are already claustrophobic, dark, and easy to get lost in. I thought there was a missed opportunity to have something run by the vent you have to open but the reveal of the cot and food is waaayyy better.
A good way to build ambience though would be to include food wrappers sticking from the corner of the dust piles. It'd help pacing if the first thing you had to do was collect your tools and then leave the house. If there is expansion I'd suggest focusing on really building up the atmosphere. Dim the lights in the vent and seal off the corner that outside light is bleeding through. Have little grates that look down onto disarrayed office environments, maybe even a break room with an open fridge, have that be where the ambient lighting is coming from. Remove the constantly present UI, instead go back to the PS1 method of text blocks of the character talking to themselves while the game is paused.
Even if just a casual little jump-scare thing some ironing out could make this a solid way to prank friends. Please take my excess of suggestions as admiration for the idea and work done already :)
