tomsterBG rated Die in the Dungeon CLASSIC

tomsterBG rated a game 2 years ago
A browser game made in HTML5.

Feels really good! Here's the highlights:
- Everything is well done, creative, unique. Dice, Characters, challenge forcing you to think.
- Emphasizing on the game itself instead of the shiny rewards you get.
- Feels fair even with the randomness.

I want to write about problems, but couldn't see any. This game just took me in and i spent an hour before realizing my free time is over.
Some potential improvements might be:
- Less repetitiveness.
- Click on the door instead on the play button in the beginning.
- Sound overhaul, more songs, more sound effects that reflect player actions.
- Better communication: For example prepare the player for what's coming. I didn't know about the bee boss, but it was great. Honey dice  move looks like strong attack and it's easy to mistake the two. Also it took a little bit of trying until i get to read exactly what certain modifiers do. Maybe make this process of getting info on the dice more frictionless by adding more info in more places. Show what multipliers the honey and royal honey add to tiles without the need to hover over. Make the blue beetle dice show which enemy it's connected to instead of only hovering over the enemy shows which dice it placed. Etc.

The improvements i mention are pretty minor. The game is just that good!
