Pretty good concept, alpha level execution. The biggest issue here is with balance. Credits are easy to get, but research points aren't, meaning by the time I completed my base, I was getting 1-2k a run, while all the top level upgrades were in the 50k+ range. Tying in with that, player leveling is glacial. This means player health is always low, which isn't an issue since enemies aren't difficult to avoid, but also that weapon damage is also low, which is more of an issue since enemy health scales significantly better. Thus, the real issue becomes that at later levels the enemies can soak up hits for long enough to exit the screen and end the run, which doesn't make for a fun experience. Beyond that, the art is okay, but the in-game sound quickly devolves into constant firing noises.
