WMitsuwa rated Gunsaw Demo

WMitsuwa rated a game 2 years ago
A downloadable game for Windows.

The game is honestly, a perfect piece of work! Even if it's in an alpha stage, it was amusing to play, with nearly no issues!

I loved the satisfaction of getting a good shot in on an enemy, and the little details with the bleeding out and such. Even little details can immerse you in a pixel-ey art style. I'm not the best shooter, but I was able to get behind and understand the gunplay with ease!

And as far as emotions, it was kind of a rollercoaster! Seein' the text above an enemy's head did a good job at telling me, "Hey, so, these guys have feelings." So sometimes killin' off one made me cringe a little inside, mostly because I felt bad.

The small details even helped a lot! Sometimes I like to look in depth with a game and see what I can do and what comes with it. I love the details of making enemies visibly nervous when alerted. Same with the bleeding out and the eyes not bein' shut when killed by an explosion. Even the littlest of details can help make the game enjoyable.

The game also runs well on my low(ish)-end laptop! My laptop currently runs with four Intel processors and 8GBs of RAM. Even with max graphic settings, it works very well.

Now, the only downside I found with this game was the collision. I seemed to be getting stuck in fences quite frequently, even tearing them out. Sometimes the levitation can be difficult to understand, but for the majority, I can get it done.

Personally, things I would like to see sometime in the future would be a level editor! Maybe even custom visualization settings (personally, blood color.) Same with difficulty settings as well! And, as a miscellaneous option (not needed at all, might conflict with the game),  a custom character type of deal.

I look forward to seeing more progress on this game, but always remember to work at yer' own pace.
