RikaFurude rated Fragile Feelings

RikaFurude rated a game 2 years ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

Really enjoyed this VN on Steam, so I bought it again here 'cause why not.  Anyways, here's what I wrote on my 'lil steam review.

TLDR: Fun story about a cute, sick teacher's aide and a pretty, vibrant doctor. Ann and Kohaku are entertaining characters and observing their friendship deepen makes for a delightful reading experience. Fragile Feelings has its moments of suspense, drama, and even sadness. However, just as the store page describes it, Fragile Feelings delivers an uplifting story about love and its power to persevere through otherwise insurmountable hardships. I highly recommend checking this one out, because Fragile Feelings is a gem!

Fragile Feelings is a visual novel about Ann, a sad lady who works as a teacher's assistant at a prestigious all-girls school. But her weak constitution ultimately brings her close to Kohaku, the new school nurse. I loved the illustrations and character designs for these two main characters. Ann and Kohaku both have numerous facial expressions and personality quirks that brings life and emotion to the well-written dialogue. They both have many funny and entertaining exchanges and watching their friendship deepen was a thrilling reading experience.

However, Fragile Feelings also provides us with plenty of well-drawn and unique secondary characters. A few of the kids Ann helps teach are adorable, bratty kids with funny mannerisms. Ann's possessive childhood friend, the teacher she assists, and the tyrannical school president also get well-illustrated character models. All of the side characters receive adequate attention and play important roles to move the story along.

Fragile Feelings does not shy away from some unpleasant topics. Its store page reveals which specific dark themes surface during the reading experience and I believe they add tons of spice to an already engaging visual novel. I also urge readers who shy away from these story elements to stick around and give Fragile Feelings a try. Ebi-hime has written some great stories about horrific betrayals, shocking twists and super sad endings. BUT, such fascinating, yet depressing narrative tools will not be found here in Fragile Feelings. The author instead delivers an uplifting story where its dark themes make persevering through them a satisfying reading experience.

All in all, I really can't say enough good things about this visual novel. Fragile Feelings features a clean UI with fantastic character art for both its main and secondary characters. It has fitting background music and an interesting premise. And most importantly, we get a wholesome relationship between two lovely women!

Yuri fans and those itching for a fun romance story will have a blast reading Fragile Feelings. It's a great visual novel and one of my favorites from ebi-hime!
