Pan's journey tears a vivid wound from scalp to brain to neck to heart, and it is full of twisted and true affection and simple joy and brutal love and consumption. It shows real feelings, stresses, anxieties and understanding of abuse in its entire bizarre, gorgeous, difficult to take a breath from story. Our lungs pounded with anticipation and uncomfortable but tangible arousal - not strictly sexual...
