A strong core gameplay loop with surprisingly neat insect enemy designs. Having the placement of dice in the grid matter, as well as certain enemies blocking spaces was the standout highlight.
Though the fight pacing feels incresingly sluggish. The first turn is a frantic grab to get enough block or pick off enough enemies to stabilize. But as block persists between turns, and you start with a single healing die, there's a clear incentive to generate a massive amount of block, then sit back waiting for that single perfect heal.
It's an unfortunate problem which certainly needs addressing before I would feel like playing again.
