As its going for more of a racing game with a bit of free roaming lewd VN style choices on the side, this reminds me of Ridge Racer Type 4 a little as an idea. A story driven racing game, with visual novel styled cutscenes in between races.

Much like in that you went to talk with your team boss at the garage in between races, I'm guess we will be free roaming in the BFRV and making friends that way.

While in RRT4 these were mostly static scenes in which the standing in the race mattered as a choice. The charm points we earn in races sound like a similar system, with added challenges earning more points and certain amounts unlocking new options to talk with people in BFRV.

What these options are? I can only guess, maybe some lewd times as hinted at or perhaps something much more in tone to a racing game, like upgrades or visual things to our hover vehicle, perhaps new outfits or new hover vehicles while getting some new conversations with our team.
