Mike rated Bad Faith (The Game)

Mike rated a game 2 years ago
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS.

I felt like it was a really good game. It was pretty short and had an unexpected turn of events that I did not predict at first, but it was not something that let me down at all. I like the artstyle and the background of characters.

CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM HERE.

It was fascinating to see the idea of religion propagating in a bizarre way. In some sense, it also feels like it reflects generational trauma because I was wondering where she had the idea of praying all of a sudden, and especially the world--how did the god respond to a prayer like that? More than anything, why is a prayer for having an attractive boy leading to death? Was it because she didn't want him first and foremost before the idea of having an attractive boy, or was it because god was just unable to make him look attractive? And if god is really that omnipotent & omnipresent, how could he not make him handsome in a few nights by removing the freckles and adding 6 packs? This question leads to the following: Maybe she just wanted him gone. This opes a darker side of things--no one really cared (I think) because the docs didn't (they were...but not enough) and the mother certainly cared about herself more, and she was the one who even went out of her way to put him there. Was the father nonexistent in some way or the other, didn't care enough, or was unable to reach out?

Yeah, maybe I'm thinking it through too much, but I can't help myself now, can I?
