A downloadable game for Windows.
Review:
I picked this game randomly from the front-page and my review after playing it is 3/5. The atmosphere in this game felt really peaceful and magical, although the combat left unsavory feelings as it was quite boring and unrewarding. Gameplay and camera was smooth and felt good, but jumping and blocking needs more work. The game is rough around the edges, but with some changes it could become a nice relaxing game.
Good:
+ Movement is responsive and smooth
+ Camera movement is pleasant
+ Storytelling is good
+ Game atmosphere is really good
+ Music fit the atmosphere
+ Art style is great
Bad:
- Enemies are boring for the most part, they felt like target dummies and almost had no purpose. They could have like jump attacks and better indicators when they attack. And noticed that if you are directly under a monster, it will just get stuck going left and right and that wasn't good
- Temple guardian bugged out after slashing the weapon so have not much to say about that, before it bugged out it did some basic attacks but as block is overpowered then those attacks doesn't matter.
- Blocking is too overtuned, you are basically a god when you block. It needs to have a negative on it like some shield counter or stamina so you can't block all attacks. You can hold run and block at the same time and the character would move with no blocking animations and sometimes the block animation wouldn't even play. Sometimes I get randomly hit through the block
- Attacking animation on ground was worse than attacking in air, air attack felt much better. Running attack could have that slash animation rather than stab, maybe some variations to the ground attack between stab and slash
- Fixing the weapon had no purpose, didn't find enough ore and couldn't get back home to try it after going down towards the last boss so needs a portal or way back
- Couldn't get back to the shop to try it out after getting enough money
- Dying felt rewarding as you healed back to full and lost basically nothing
- Jumping power needs to have the system where you can hold jump for higher jump and tap to get lower jump
- Inventory could show what weapon is currently equipped
- I wish you could go though the dialog choices to see what they say when you have multiple to choose from
- Sound effects for attacking could tell what I'm hitting instead of same for every enemy, like hitting a tree could make tree breaking sounds
- Sometimes hitting enemy didn't knock them back and they would just run and hit you
- Enemies could use some health indicators
- Going downwards and not be able to see if there are monsters below didn't feel good
