Had the pleasure of playing this game recently and enjoyed it immensely. This is the first system I played that utilizes drawing cards to determine actions and successes (having come from a more dice-rolling background when it comes to TTRPGs I've played) and I loved it. There is still an element of chance like you get in a dice roll but less swingy and it really makes you think about whether you want to use all your cards in your current action, or bank it to be used later, turning action economy into an important gameplay mechanic.
Another thing that I really liked is how it rewards - and even encourages - a more jack-of-all-trades or a one-trick-pony playstyle. Many other TTRPGs tend to, mostly unintentionally, penalizes you for it, leaving you either useless when you can't do that thing you're good at or completely dwarfed in power due to your skill spread. But in Aether, you can still be effective without nerfing yourself to the ground, which I really appreciate (I was playing an extremely empathic character who has next to no physical attacks and uses their empathy to diffuse conflicts and I still had a blast).
100% would play again and 100% would recommend.
