I've received a copy of this game for free for which I am thankful.
To be honest this game confuses me. I think it supports the horror side of changing much better than the positive side - mechanically speaking accepting a change removes a resource from the character (the ability to change to force a success). Sad days for my kobold character that wants to become a dragon.
The wheel used for transgender changes is a nice addition but ultimately suffers from the same problem, although it does give players more control since permanence does not happen at a fixed point but instead when the player wishes.
I am also not sure in general how to reverse a change before permanence is reached? Maybe I just missed it?
I also think that the art pieces that support a horror approach are on average far stronger than the rest, good job especially to whoever drew the carousel scene on pg. 23. I also think that the image chosen for the back cover would make a better front cover and get the games point across better than the current one.
The game needs a re-read and some wording as well as layout changes to improve on clarity. Personally I wouldn't play it as it currently stands but I wouldn't mind giving an updated version another look.
