I actually quite like this game. I think it shows the story of someone who is struggling with some mental illness, possibly schizophrenia. You can see that 'cause the man with the mask at the beginning disappears once you take the medicine, just like with anti-psychotic drugs taken by people with schizophrenia. You can also see that the main character has been struggling with this for a while and it's all just a never-ending cycle of getting chased by the man with the mask and killing him all over and over. At the end of the game, once you kill the man in the mask, you can see that many of the same men were also killed before, which just goes to show that all of this is just a never-ending repeating cycle.
