Melted Box rated Blackout Hospital

Melted Box rated a game 3 years ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

the game is awful from all aspects

the combat is boring and tedious, onlying haveing  one of the party members have more than one attack skill, makes combat very tedious

mary has three type of poisons only, two that affect the enemy and one wich affects the player,i used the player one once and noticed no change, why have two poisons wich do the same thing? one is cheap and deals chip damage and one is strong but costs a lot of MP
why not just go the middle and have a decent poison skill that deals decent dmg insted?
I've used the doctor guy(i forgot his name) once only

the battles at start are so rough, doesn't help you don't get a warning for when you're about to start fighting a bosss

along side the fact of how expensive the items are and the little gold and exp drops, making you need to grind a lot just to reach 1 level up

after getting a shop with equipment, the bosses become a joke
hell the underwater enemys are more of a treath than the other bosses, wich isn't a good thing

The puzzles go from "wow that was painfully easy" to "WTF DO I DO"

along side some tedious fetch quests wich add in nothing

here's a exmaple, the whole x-ray area took me so much time to figure out,i never in my life tought to interact with the random vending machine that was in there, yes you do that at the start of the game but now? i tought it was there to get helaing items, even so after doing that

i couldn't figure out the skeleton puzzle,i was in a vc streaming the game to my friends and they had no idea either wtf to do

we tryed interacting with floor tiles, putting in a password useing doors, useing the other elevator to input a password, interacting with every wall tile, the soultion wasn't clear at all. when looking up the walktrough,we felt pure confusion insted of going "oooh makes sense"

the skelton x-ray looks like he is spelling numbers, not directions

this is how most puzzles went, haveing no idea what to do and the soultion being something we never tought of

another problem being the game has "where do i go syndrome"

90% of the time i would walk around trying to figure out wtf to do

2 good exmaples would be at the start of the west building,i didn't know i needed to interact with the wall of slime,i insted interacted with every door and then started to get frustrated and confused

i tought "oh i need to get a axe for that again or something" not "oh i need to interact with that"

same thing happend at the end when interacting in the garage,i never tought of interacting with all the garage doors and that somehow would let me progress, have it be so that happens when you interact with the first one

Story wise i couldn't get into it at all,
All the characters talk the same, they have little to no differences in thier speech, the wierd irl sounds threw me off rather than getting me immersed, why not give all the different characters talk sounds insted?
another gripe i had story wise, was the total refusal to tell the player what's going on,from mary eye leaking,to the unicorn man,to the pregnant unicorn woman,to everything

i keept getting more questions than answers and the ending didn't help at all

i couldn't even get the ending,i had to edit the game and remove the force field because you forgot to make it so after you finish one of the fetch quests to give them a item

the ending got me more confused than anything and frustrated because my choices didn't matter, even if i picked the right dialouge

i NEVER tought the talk function would play a rol in the good ending, something i tought would be used for lore

this reminds me of how IB locks away one of the endings if you don't talk with a npc enough times, very stupid things

in general i felt like this was a frustrating, annoying and tedious experience
