This Platformer has a little exploration to it, but is mostly linear.  Visually and mechanically, it reminds me of Zelda 2, but you've got some VERY Faxanadu visuals now and again, along with Castlevania subweapons.  The lives system is kinda dumb, but the game overall isn't too super hard that it's a big issue.  Lots of weapon variety, and the level design is mostly good, too.  Definitely worth checking out, if you're into oldschool Platformers.
