Kk_sys rated the uncle who works for nintendo

Kk_sys rated a game 3 years ago
A browser game made in HTML5.

"You" choose your best friend's name.

Andrew was on the top of the list.

Creepy, terrifying.  The more "you" play, the more the terror increases.
Where is his brother? Why aren't his parents moving? Who is his uncle?

The pieces fit together slowly but surely.

And then you get an ending. It's not good enough. Andrew is forgotten. "You" want to drag him out of the house with "you". But "you" can't.
"You" meet the uncle.

"You" run from the Uncle.

You leave Andrew behind.

And the fear decreases. The Uncle can't get you when you leave, the Uncle relies on Andrew keeping you there.

The true ending becomes a sudden change of style, of a game breaking apart at the seams. Of something being truly wrong.

Desperation can be seen in the Uncle's "voice".

Andrew and "you" are free.

In a sense, that is the difference in the emotions I felt after the true ending, and the ending in which "you" escape.

When "you" escape, things aren't actually better. "You" are safe. Andrew isn't. The Uncle is still out there. There is a vague sense of relief, but also creeping anticipation.

The true ending is the realisation that the Uncle cannot hurt anyone anymore, that the Uncle was never that powerful in the first place.

Maybe I'm being dramatic about this, but I truly love the work put into this.

From the little details: (Beer? No, it's just lemonade) How the player knows that the friend's Mew isn't supposed to look like that. The little details of the house not quite working correctly.

To the bigger ones. The author's note and all the other parts after- it's a very interesting read. I don't think I'm old enough to truly understand every bit- I simply haven't experienced most of it. But for those that I do- it simply improves on my experience of the game.

I played this game a few months ago- and I was much too scared to find the true ending. It's a testament to your writing, I would say, that I came back despite my fear of horror.

Like I said? Implied earlier: You are amazing at creating a sense of dread and terror in your writing. Thank you for this, if that makes sense.

TLDR; I really like your writing- and sorry for writing such a long review- I'm not even sure if you will see this, but if you do- I hope this doesn't waste too much of your time @-@.
