There's a reason the QWERTY keyboard layout is so ubiquitous, and it's all because of Ye Olde Typewriter.
Allegedly, the QWERTY layout was deliberately made to slow down your typing speed so as to not let the type heads smack into each other. However, if you're reasonably good at touch typing, you might find yourself missing letters anyway. Then again, modern keyboard keys don't have as long a travel distance than classic typewriter keyboards, and don't need to be pressed as hard. On top of all that, there's no simulated correction ribbon, so any mistake you make you'll have to cross out the old fashioned way by backspacing and /-ing them out.
All in all, it can be a fun little challenge to try and bring out your inner JB Fletcher and type out an entire book this way.
