I realize that I've found Ran's story about two years past the author's announcement that Wilder wouldn't be continued, but I was crushed all the same to read it. This world and its characters are so BEAUTIFUL that I couldn't stop playing until I got to the end well into the early morning. which is unfortunate because I have to be up for work in a few hours! I'm a huge visual novel and otome geek, and Ran's story was truly a diamond in the rough that I'll remember and replay for a very long time. Ran is wonderful and I wish nothing but the best for him and his lover - I found the two to be one of the most compelling and romantic couples I've had the pleasure of watching grow together.
With that said, the real person who wrote Ran is far more important than any story (or sense of personal curiosity regarding it), and I really hope that they're doing a little better these days and that their scars have faded at least a little in these two years, too. Even if Wilder never continues, I am incredibly grateful for the modest fruits of its labor, and I can't wait to go home tomorrow evening and read Bahadur's story and polish off this fantastic series. Thank you!! :)
