Certainly interesting. I was expecting something like Virtual Pinball on the Sega Genesis, but this put a bit of a twist on it. (A "win" hole that just straight up ends the game!? Okay...)
Initially, I was going to give this only 1 star for the KBM layout; not being able to use the Shift keys for the flippers just feels wrong, even if it's to accommodate the gun powerup, I just couldn't get used to it. But, when I thought to plug in a gamepad, that changed. Being able to use the bumpers for flippers feels much more natural, and using the right stick for aiming feels nice too, even if you're sacrificing accuracy for comfort. Using triggers for nudging on the other hand... well, I'd have expected the left stick instead and the triggers be alternate flipper buttons. The only thing you can't do using the gamepad is PAUSE THE GAME!
Aside from that, it wasn't as bad as my first few minutes initially made me think, and I'd much more recommend using a gamepad over using the mouse for gameplay.
