It was ok.

Quick bug report: I had the game hang once when I paused during a VR mission.  Sorry I don't have a core dump or any better repro steps than that.  It got to the pause screen, but then the game would not respond to any controller or keyboard input, although alt-enter could still switch between full-screen and windowed mode.

The "tap down to drop through thin platforms" needs a rework.  Is there a reason you didn't just have it be down and jump like most other games?  The tap is also buffered for like half a second, which might be good if you _really_ needed to fast fall through a platform without stopping, but is _really_ bad when you are trying to shoot downward at enemies while landing on thin platforms over spikes.  If you jump over an enemy, tap down and shoot to kill it, then try to land on a thin platform a split second later, you will fall right through the platform and die, which happened to me more than once.

I understand you are trying to create some stress with the brutal penalty for losing all your lives, but it didn't work for me.  I spent like 20 minutes working my way through a long, boring level with spikes, then died at the boss with 2 unplaced respawns left.  I assumed I would be sent back to the last respawner I placed further back in the level.  Nope, back to the ship with all my progress gone.  Do previous respawners blow up when a new one is placed?  Because I don't think that was explained anywhere.  Could I have placed a respawner during the boss fight?  I would have if I had realized my old one was dead.
