(Writing on the Post-Compo version)

I hadn't seen this LD40 Jam entry before, but now this is one of my favorite. The concept is consistent with the theme and is well executed here, in fact, it has some relation to my own submission, but yours is much more elaborate. I also liked the witty, dark sense of humour used throughout the game and had a lot of fun discovering new stuff as I wandered around the game world.

As for the negative, I'd say the controls felt a bit sluggish at times, even when you're not carrying much. Apparently Lonk goes faster in the latest version, which is good. Also, I got stuck several times, I could not find a way to get the 2nd ending, collect all gems or go to various places in the map. There were areas and paths that seemed to have a purpose, but I could not find any. I eventually looked into the source code, and came to the conclusion that a bug prevents the 2nd ending from happening, that there is no "gem ending", and what appeared to be places of interest, turned out to be dead-ends or unreachable areas. My conclusions may be wrong, but if this is true, please add a disclaimer that the game is incomplete, to save the players some effort.

All in all, I found it a hilarious, creative parody of Zelda with a large universe for a jam entry, even though there was some frustration at the end. I hope to see it a finished game someday, it has some potential.
