HUGE WIN!!!

Wow, so this is probably the biggest win yet! It isn't exactly related to the game I'm working on, but it does affect it. And it's not something I did today. . . I did it yesterday. . . And I'm not even 100% certain that everything is as it seems. . . But without further ado, I shall announce:

I FIXED MY COMPUTER!

Yep, you read that right, all the crashes I've been experiencing in Unity should be a thing of the past. Along with all the crashes in everything else I do. Lots of games have been suffering lately. Couldn't even play for 15 minutes straight without issues sometimes. And not only that, but it felt like it was getting worse.

How did I fix it, you ask? Well, turns out it was really simple in the end. I literally spent hours running a memory scan (which came up clean) and even more time over a couple of days trying to tweak settings and test. Finally, I decided to try underclocking my computer, and I haven't had a single crash since!

Yep, you read that right, I just turned down the speed on my processor. I think I only dropped it by about 1Ghz. Can't say I've even noticed any performance hit. And I know I could possibly be counting my chickens before they're hatched. But, please bear in mind that I have had a game running for many hours straight that would usually crash constantly.

This means that one of the big mental blockers for working on the game has just disappeared. I don't have to worry about Unity crashing and losing everything I've done! Mind you, for the time being I will try to be diligent about saving things just in case the issue isn't really resolved. But this is just so big for me.
