Here we go!

Alright, my travel is over with now so I can actually do some work on this thing again. And when I say "over" I actually mean I've arrived at my destination. I'm operating from the Philippines for the next couple of months. It sure does take a long time to get here. . .

This isn't going to be the most optimal experience, since I'm operating on a laptop with only a single screen. I could hook up to the TV here, but I don't know that that will be good either. I'll just do what I can and hope it works okay, even if it does slow me down a bit.

Now, what to work on? Why not just keep painting the world. I need to think about the "start" of my game, so we'll work from there. One issue I have with this is the doorways and stuff. I need to figure out a way to allow the player to walk between rooms and stuff without them having to walk "through" things or not be able to see their character behind walls. How do I accomplish that?

In looking at the way the artist designed his examples I see a couple of ways I could accomplish this. Looks like I still have work to do on the actual sprites themselves. The settings are all wrong and they're being messed with from the original. Gotta set that max size (Why? Why do I need to do this?) to the big number cause the tiles are all messy.

Yep, that fixed it. Luckily I've only got a few sprite maps that are big, so I don't need to bother with the singles. Okay, that's enough for now. I know, it's not enough really. But again, I'm in another country with my fiancé, so I'ma devote more time to her than the game.
