My schedule has been kinda weird the last few days since I've been in the Philippines. There's been a bunch of distractions. I can't stop playing ONI. Plus, I have to keep my partner entertained too, going out, etc. So I haven't worked on the game as much as I should have, but that's changing today!
Yep, I'm doing the work! Back to drawing in my little world. I need to rethink a couple of things, like my walls. I should add collision to it, so the player can't just walk through it. That also means adding collision stuff to the tiles. Of course, I have to open the project first and it takes SO LONG on my laptop, ugh!
First step, breaking my walls and floor apart, easy enough, just add another tilemap and redraw. Still having an odd issue with pixel spacing in like one single place. Hopefully I can fix it. I've re-sliced the sprite map and I'm re-creating the tiles and re-adding them to the tile palette. Then I'll re-draw the walls.
Man this laptop is slow. Prolly has to do with the HDD where the project is stored (it's a few years old, so the SSD is small and mostly only houses the OS while the majority of space is on a spinning platter). One of these days I'm going to upgrade to a newer model, but for now this one works well enough.
Yep, that seems to have fixed the issue. Glad I did it now instead of having to deal with it later after having drawn a bunch of stuff. I do have an issue with a specific spot where I can't figure out which tile to place. It's a weird perspective things I guess. Let's see how the artist does it. Oh, that makes a lot of sense, lol.
Okay, that's enough for now!
