In the wrong place, at the wrong time.

In my first blog post I want to talk about one of the best First-Person shooters called Titanfall 2. I am absolutely in love with this game and that is why I always had a question “Why this game is not that popular”.

Titanfall 2 was published on the 28th of October 2016 by Electronic Arts and developed by Respawn Entertainment. It was published in between Battlefield 1 (21s of October 2016) and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remaster (4th of November 2016). Some people believe that Titanfall 2 was not that popular because of the publishment of these two games. I find this point of view reasonable because I cannot find any reason for this game to have a worse playing experience than Battlefield or Call of Duty. The first game of the series was not as successful as the second one and I feel that it is obvious that the gaming community was more interested in the new part of Battlefield or Call of Duty.

Speaking of playing experience, I find Titanfall 2 very nice because of its short but very nice plot and amazing movement mechanics. In one hand, the general tempo of the game is very fast, and combined with wall running, double jumping, and wall jumping with “windows magnet” makes every single match enormously dynamic and satisfying. On the other hand, Titanfall 2 implemented all the best titan movement mechanics and, surprisingly, made it satisfying to play as its pilot.

In conclusion, in my opinion, Titanfall 2 is a wonderfully balanced game with lots of interesting mechanics to describe. I find it unfair that this game did not seek enough fame because of the wrong timing. Right now it is being supported by Respawn again and I hope that one day we will see the 3rd part of this amazing game.
