Titanfall's heritage.

In my previous blog post, I was talking about Titanfall 2. Now I want to talk about Apex Legends – the game that takes place in the same universe as the Titanfall series does.

Apex Legends is a battle royale where a player must play with 1 or 2 other players in their team and stay alive as long as possible fighting against other teams. In this blog post, I am not going to describe different characters’ abilities or some of the mechanics implemented in Titanfall. Right now, I want to talk about the plot of the game and some of the interesting connections with Titanfall 2.

One of the first characters added to this game was Wraith who appears to be a voidwalker. Originally, she was a scientist who was working on the phase shift we could see in Titanfall 2. After the collapse of the phase shift, she lost all her memories. In the series of videos on the official YouTube channel, we know that the story begins in the IMC lab where she awakes without any memories. After the collapse, she gained the ability to phase and communicate with her other versions from other dimensions.

The other character is Valkyrie. She appears to be A high-flying combatant with a jetpack built from the parts of a salvaged Titan, she joined the Apex Games to find her path in life apart from her father’s legacy. Her father is Viper who was killed during the storyline of Titanfall 2. Viper had a flying titan whom Jack Cooper and BT-7274 had to defeat to save rebels. After Valkyrie’s father’s death, she used his titan to make her flying suit which could launch rockets same as her father’s Northstar-class titan. She joined Apex Games after meeting Blisk who was the antagonist in Titanfall 2 and now appears to be the founder of Apex Games.
