Week Overview:
This week has been a big one for the game. Our team already finished the Project plan, GDD, risk Analysis plan, and a prototype based on Figma, which provides a solid foundation for the actual development of the game. In my role as the primary programmer, I will focus on how to translate existing plans and design documents into actual games in Unity.
Project Plan:
Making the Project Plan is the first step to our success. I read the documentation to get an idea of the project's overall size and time frame. This provides clear guidance for my work. I will complete different functions and modules step by step according to the plan to ensure timely delivery.
Risk Analysis Plan:
The Risk Analysis Plan is critical to the success of our project. In the actual development, it is inevitable to encounter various problems, but through the risk analysis in advance, I can better cope with these challenges. For example, we may encounter technical difficulties, lack of resources, etc., which I can avoid or solve more effectively by planning ahead.
Game Design Documentation:
The game design documentation provided me with detailed game logic and rules. It is crucial to understand every aspect of game design before coding in Unity. This includes the way the player interacts with the game, the possible flow of the game, and the implementation of various game elements.
Figma Prototype:
The Figma prototype provided me with a visual game interface and interaction. By looking at the prototype, I was able better to understand the layout of the UI. This provided me with an intuitive reference for creating the appropriate interface in Unity.
Next Semester's plan:
Next semester, I'll start implementing the core features of the game in Unity. By implementing each of the planned modules one by one, I will ensure that all parts of the game work smoothly. At the same time, I will pay close attention to the potential risks listed in the Risk Analysis Plan to ensure that we can respond to them on time.
