If I posted devlogs for projects that aren't out yet here, would you read them?

I noticed that I have quite a few followers on itch, almost as many as I do on mastodon now. And I'm wondering if I should do more posts on here for y'all to keep you updated on my various unreleased projects such as Kitsune Tails or my fantasy console Mega68k.  So, if you'd like me to make posts like this and would actually read them, please leave a comment so that I can get an idea of whether or not putting time into itch as a devlogging platform makes sense. Thanks!

I'd like that, but to be honest I'm not sure how I found this post in the first place, so if you do, plz promote the post on yer other socials.

i for sure would read them. as i follow few people here, and only those that make things i find interesting in some way ^_^

I'd at least glance at them. Some of the more technical stuff I might skim, but I'd take a look. I do enjoy reading about game development and I do check my itch feed very regularly.

I guess the question is how often does people actually check their itch feed, and I’m not gonna lie - it’s the one of my many feeds that I check up on the least. I think I also follow you in most other places (including mastodon), so if you post anything I’ll most likely see it somewhere else first.

But itch is one of the slowest ones, so I tend to not miss anything in it even if it’s been days since I last checked it - unlike twitter/mastodon, where I’ll miss pretty much anything that was posted around the time I’m hitting the bed.

But it might be nice to have updates posted here too for the people who finds you though itch and looks through your profile? No idea how much traffic that could be.
