The Dark Reign: Rebirth Devlog #4

Greetings everyone, in the fourth development log for The Dark Reign: Rebirth. January is approaching, which means the release of the first version of the game is near. Over the last few days, I have been polishing the current content. Many bugs have been fixed, numerous Quality of Life improvements have been introduced, new mobs have been added to the stone biome, a new structure has been added to the lunar biome, three new mobs that start spawning after defeating the game's first boss, new weapons, and a ton of other content, such as blocks that speed up/slow down enemy spawning, tree saplings, health potions, 5 pages of in-game guidebook, and settings.

For the first version's release, what remains for me is to add the second boss—work on him will be quite lengthy—make several improvements to some mechanics, such as platforms that don’t work very stably, introduce a couple of new accessories, a new third class, and, of course, test the game.

I understand that some might be disappointed that the first version of the game will only have about an hour of content, but in my current situation, I can’t make the game big right away, as there may simply be no success, and I could waste a lot of time. Besides, the game will always remain free until release, regardless of my circumstances, because I cannot take money from people for an unfinished game. You will only be able to voluntarily support the game’s development on Boosty, which I am currently setting up.
