The Dark Reign: Rebirth Devlog #3

November turned out to be a very productive month in the development of Through The Ages. A new biome was added, along with many new items, structures, enemies, the first boss, and a huge number of bug fixes, QOL improvements, and new mechanics. An Enemy Manager was added, making the game world feel more alive. Real, winding cave passages were also introduced. The item usage system was completely reworked, and the list of new features and changes could go on forever.

My current priorities are QOL improvements and polishing. After that, I will focus on the content for the first Moon Phase, which unlocks after defeating the first boss—the Rotting Grove Warden. In the Moonwood Forest and its caves, powerful enemies will begin to appear. Lunar Sanctuaries will become accessible, allowing you to open chests, gather Azurite, and craft lunar gear to fight the lunar enemies and the Lunar Consort itself.

And now for the final news in this devlog. Through The Ages has been renamed to The Dark Reign: Rebirth, and the first version of the game, The Dark Reign: Rebirth 0.3.0 indev, will be released in January 2026 (the timeline is subject to change)! The game will be completely free to play.
