Hello There

This devlog is a bit later since I had a party today. I didnt even think I could do this today but i got some time left in the day so Im wwritting it today so Ill have some extra time on my hands tomorrow :3 (do not that im a bit tired so if there are a lot of spelling error this time more then last then sorry)

This week I wanted to get atleast 1 button done for the menu. Well because that was my goal I tried to get 1 done but I went in circles heh. I tried to tackle both the Journal button and the Stats button. I tried to do the Journal button and I do have a layout for it I think but I got to another problem for it. Since the Journal is going to hold the different species I want you to be able to see then. But that gave me a problem cause I needed to think what I was going to show. For some species I got normal bodies for it but not all and for some it wouldnt even make sence. Look at the species of some Gods it wouldnt make sence or even Paddrieg’s species Living Stone wouldnt make sence. Hes the only one and there arent other creatures with the same one as the gods. But I cant just show the most important character for all species cause Ill have the problem that some of those characters dont match fully with there species. See Zari. She doesnt have arms yet the rest of her species does. Then theres still the problem of who matches witch species. There are some creatures that look a bit off but are the same species……………. So yea Im not full out with this one you see heh

Now the Stats button also has a hard issue. One of them was easy. I still had to give those stats to Stray. But for that I had to test them out and see what feels nice and good. Then I found some other small issues with the battles that I didnt want to dive into yet seeing that Im not yet to the battles but I gave it a quick look for a day to. Now I have the stats I like for Stray but that testing did gave me something to think about. I dont have anywhere where you can see your moves. Something thats pretty nice to know in an RPG. So I want to rename the Stats button to something else so i can have the Skills menu in there aswell. So yea I still had to change those things yet. Not even talking about the layout yet and drawing 80 different senses for the 80 levels you can get in the full game. Per chapter you get 10 extra levels. So in chapter 1 you can only go up to level 10

Now I would have gotten further with that if there wasnt something else I wanted to do. As I said in the last devlog I wanted to put characters of mine on a website called Unvale. Now at first I thought it wouldnt take me that long. There was a day where putting all the stuff on there was a side goal besides helping someone play test there game. But I came quicly aware that there were some issues I hadnt seen. Some chibi’s werent correct. Mostly the characters from Cycle had some wierd thing going on with there belt and Chichi even had her size change once she was looking at the sides. Once I was done with that I had to make the “Worlds” catagory stuff. I drew some quick stuff for almost all the worlds with the normal tile sets besides the Gods catagory but nothing hard. The problem I had was with Gray Pearls world tile set. In game the ground and Stray’s hair were almost the same color and blended in with echother. I wanted to change it in the future but because I wanted it to be on Unvale and I didnt want to change the tile again I wanted to change it on the spot. That testing took me longer then I thought. I wanted to stay true to the colors of the normal tile set from the normal game. So yea. Here it is tho It also shows some nice lighting heh. So yea. Dont with that part of the week

Now at this point of my game dev stuff I am on a few platforms. Im on twitter and bluesky of course. But Im also in Cara and most people dont even know about that app. Im on Itch of course and now also on Unvale (Also on Youtube but I dont post on it heh) So I tried to look for those link sites. You know the carrd app and the linktree app. Well both are very un customizeble for free so I dont want to use them for it. But then I got the realization. I can just put those links on my Itch page. I link people to that already so having all my platforms there would be a great idea to. Plus I can customize it fine enough. So all my links (Besides youtube) are now on my main itch page. here

So yea. Not a lot done but I was stuck at so many points this week heh. Ill try to make my mind over the Journal and I hope Ill be able to get atleast 1 button done next week heh. Have a great day furthermore and goodbye :3
