Hello There
This week I have done things all over the place. One day I was working on the menu and next day I was working on finding some good lighting. Even did some brainstorming. But Im getting ahead of myself
Last time I was done with drawing all the normal stuff for the Relic menu. But I didnt make it workable in the game itself. It was harder to do then I thought seeing the way how I made the menu look with the 2 layers. Didnt think it be hard hehe. But after some tries I found an way. So the Relic menu is mostly complete. I havent made any Relics yet seeing that I want to work on while making the Root Worlds and Trunk Realms. Gives me a more hands on take on it hehe
The next menu I wanted to tackle was the Missions menu. Now while the complete and incomplete sup menu’s are different buttons they dont really look different. The complete menu is there just to show which ones you completed already. So how they look really is close to the same. Just the work they do will differ. Seeing that I probably want there to be atleast a few side missions per Root World and seeing that the Main missions there will use the same background I needed to draw one for every location. Now I havent made the one for The Nest yet but here are the ones I do have made and the names
Adarada (Gray Pearl)

Kanso (Endeavor)

Doku (Resonate)

Tsurara (Beacon)

Snooza (Slumber)

Minta (Cycle)

Shellore (Preserve)

Now some of thise images look different from how they looked in the games these worlds are from (Mostly Beacon and Slumber). Thats because I want the worlds to look as good as I can make them. Things that were when I made the worlds werent something I knew how to do. But now with an art style that isnt that changing anymore I can full draft how these world are looking. (Also trying to add some more colors to some worlds. Looking at you Resonate and Beacon). I havent placed them in game yet seeing that I still want to draw the one for The Nest first before then
Now making those Missions images brings up something I had planned for a while now. Seeing that one of the big selling points of this project is the different lind of worlds with there own unique looks I wanted the menu to reflect it a bit. So in a few menu’s like the main image and the save points I want to draw lil windows that show those worlds (or in The Nest case Place) where you are. I didnt want to do it yet seeing that I didnt know how much of the tile set would be good and complete. But after my lighting tests (Which Im coming to) Im happy with those tile sets so I can look at those images now.
The light tests (Told ya I would come back to that) have been pretty good as of far. Right now I have done them all besides Preserve which I already kinda did wen I was making that game but i didnt work that much on. But I got some idea for the light color. These tests have shown also some mistakes I made in the tile sets. Like the water of Beacon not connection to well and my poor idea for a different wall for Slumber not going anywhere hehe.
(Also side note. I was working on the lighting for SLumber a lot and in doing so I made the light look way better for the other worlds to so…..yay)
(Side side note. Seeing how the light works now I want to make atleast like 5 different light objects for every world so it looks even better)
And I think thats all this week. (I think). Next week Ill try to place all the images inside the game (Plus The Nest image Ill make to) and complete the Missions menu. Thats all for now so have a great day furthermore and goodbye :3
