How far along are you with completing the main story ?. How hard is too make one of these games ?
Hard to say without knowing how much I'll keep adding along the way. :D
After the current end of the main story will be a "time skip", during which you'll get to see in different phases what happens during those years, like girls announcing their pregnancy, children being born, and other stories of characters. At the end will be the big clash of the main story, and then if depends on how much will get added in the post-time skip chapter.
Having an idea for a game, starting the development, and learning the basics is pretty easy. The hardest part is to keep going and continue until you've managed to turn your ideas into an actual game.
I can say from experience that making these is extremely hard, especially if you want as many features as this game has. To give an example, I made a game on RPG Maker for a game jam. We had 1 month to make it and I barely got it done in time. Total gameplay was about 3 hours and it took me around 200 hours to make, and the game itself was extremely simple in terms of gameplay elements. Compared to what Ryen is working on, my game was like comparing a kid's crayon drawing of a house to a set of professional blueprints.
I need someone that would be willing to collaborate on a story based rpg game. But using mode 7 from the SNES era of graphics for flying around map parts. I don't have a colleges degree, I am willing to share the development and creative vision as long as I could write the story and have help with everything to develop it. I have been sitting on this story since after my late sister passed in 2021. The only thing I would ask that it not contain any adult themed material, because I am aiming the story to be for teens. I am huge fan of all things mythology. I rather not give away the plot of the story. So if you're or anybody would be interested in collaborating then let me know.
