Dating sims (or dating simulations) are a video game subgenre of simulation games, usually Japanese, with romantic elements. The most common objective of dating sims is to date, usually choosing from among several characters, and to achieve a romantic relationship.

Eastern role-playing video games are role-playing video games developed in East Asia, including Japan, South Korea, and, to a lesser extent, China.

Story based experiences

Focused on using its text, moreso than its visuals or audio, to tell the bulk of its story/plot. (Still can have great audio and visuals, though!)
