Heaven and Hell is a dark fantasy genre, 3D, turn-based strategy, role-playing game.
Currently recruiting:
A Programmer well-versed in C#, who also has the knowledge and the experience to do the networking/multiplayer architecture (Mirror). Since the game is turn-based, it should be relatively less soul-shattering.
A Programmer skilled in C# to code the core gameplay systems, who can also code the monster AI, and GUI (ability hotbar, attributes, talent tree)[FILLED]
- A 2D Concept Artist to design spell icons, and thematic elements (frame embellishments) for GUI, as well as create concept art to serve as a base for 3D Character Design, and environments.
- A 3D Character Artist who specializes in character design, modelling, rigging, and basic animation (idle, walk, get hit, attack/cast, death). For now, just 1 male human and 1 female human characters are all we need for the prototype. Only large wings need to be attached to their backs to use them as player characters. In the near future, monster design (abnormal anatomy and textures) will be the major focus.
A 3D Environment Artist who can design the environments, simple props, and produce modest VFX for spells. Enjoying, and having an eye for Fantasy, Medieval, and Gothic styles is beneficial. For the prototype, only 8 spells need particle effects.[FILLED]

Plot & Theme:
Its fundamental theme is divine war, that is between Heaven and Hell, both of which use their inhabitants -angels, and demons- as their instruments of war. Players are angels who were sent to the world during medieval times with a divine mission (main quest), and they slay demons that began an abrupt invasion of the human realm (side quests). The game is story-heavy, and it features many concepts such as Demonology and Angel Hierarchy from Gnosticism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam; Witchcraft, Alchemy; as well as drawing inspiration from various theologies, mythologies, and fairy tales. The lore is bleak, and the discoveries often serve to dishearten the players.
Aesthetics:
The overall art style has been envisioned as Realistic. The game's atmosphere will be gloomy, with grey tones dominating majority of the environment. Gothic elements will be abundant; visual and audial tricks will be utilized to embed a layer of horror genre. Lighting will be minimal, dim areas will be the default. Background music will be sombre, and suspenseful, while battles will be glorified with orchestral, epic genre music.
Engine is Unity 3D. Platform is PC. The aim is to create a humble prototype of the game which contains the starter zone: a small, tutorial village with 4 NPCs (each with their own quest), and 7 short battles against 3 different demon types to showcase 12 basic player abilities. This prototype will demonstrate the artistic excellence, narrative strength, integrity of game play, battle mechanics, player dynamics, enemy difficulty, strategy formation, level and power progression via ability allocation, and fundamental user experiences such as immersion, engagement, and flow in the overall system. And hopefully secure us funding for further development, and a supportive player base. As such, compensation method is revenue share. Estimated completion time for the prototype is a few months, assuming everyone contributes 14+ hours of progress per week.
