VCRA as launched the first early access!

https://loadingpt.itch.io/vcra

Summary

- This is a on development project, where your dreams of becoming a Vtuber, Vstreamer, or simply see your model being alive can become true.

- You can use a simple Webcam to use this tool, or even if you don't own one, you can still use it, it will track your mouse position to move your head around!

That's right, you don't need to get expensive equipment anymore, or even have such a hard-time making your model into an application so that you can stream.

Q: Is the tracking good? I mean, it should be messy right?

Well, i will let you judge with your own eyes. Of course, the tracking from a VR tracking system is way better, but this was made so that it looks almost as smooth as it:

For those who prefer tracking using VR tracking systems, don't worry, you have not been forgotten. It is planned the development where you can use VR technology. Not only that, but it is planned so that you can use your hand controllers to track your head, or hands, depends on your preference. I am tired of seeing people needing to buy extra trackers for such a trivial matter. And thats right, oculus users will be able to have their tracking working too.

Here some cool screenshots and gifs showing what you can do:

Thanks for hearing me out, can't wait to give you guys more news about it!

VCRA is now selling on itch.io!

VCRA is now on version 1.2.0, and I think now its a good time to start selling and making it available for everyone.  I haven't been updating for a week or so, because everything was being prepared for today, with a bunch of bug fixes and some features added!

This version has the following features working:

  • Desktop Tracking
  • Webcam Tracking
  • Import Custom Avatars (through Unity)
  • Mouth Tracking (Using Visemes)
  • Custom animations (using your numpad numbers)
  • Settings menu, where you can personalize your experience, for example, webcam optimization and avatar position

Some of the bug-fixes done

  • Shader Fixes, now the poiyomi's shader should be working correctly
  • Fixed an issue with desktop tracking.
  • Fixed Microphone selection. Now it works as it was planned
  • Reselected Menu's colors, now it looks way better, almost like eye candy.
  • Added the animation system, now you can add custom animations to your avatars and use it on VCRA client, pressing the numpad 0-9 keys.

VCRA got new updates again! We're at 1.2.2 right now (yes, I forgot to announce the 1.2.1, so I'm going this will include both patches)

Without any more delays, what has been done:

  • Added a space on the Main Menu for Patrons, where I can change who shows up there dynamically;
  • Added a space on the Main Menu so that I can display some small messages or announcements, just a way for me to keep in touch with you guys c:
  • Debugging: going through different systems, to see how the compatibility is with other systems;
  • Some small fixes on my side, and changes on code, trying to prepare it for debugging VCRA if any problems arise in the future
  • Added the option toggle the keyboard "hand-tracking" (IK), as sometimes the IK can be very weird working, and not everyone likes how it works.
  • New Unity package, you can now add custom idle animations! This is to work together with the feature added above. Not adding a custom idle animation, you will use the provided default animation.

To use this new features, it is highly recommended an update to both your client, and your avatar (shouldn't be too much trouble with the avatar,  just reimport the new unitypackage and export the avatar again from unity).

Due to this update, the IK on the whole body will work better, arms, legs, everything.

Due to this update, no more Motorbike poses because of animations either, YEY! c:

Thank you, and as always, I will always be available for some feedback!
