THE RUNNER (a short interactive piece)

It's been a while since I posted my last interactive creation here on Itch.

After the "The Place in Between" I continued to catch ideas for short interactive experiences that communicate an idea that I feel interesting enough to explore and experiment. "The Runner" is one of those ideas.

This is a short interactive experience that relies on two ideas: one for a specific input scheme that challenges your physical involvement with the piece and other for a narrative, a place in a world, where the game's event takes place.

Talking further about this short game is somehow spoil it or do some disservice to it's purpose, which is for you to dive into it, completely blind, and try to accomplish it's goal, which should be clearly communicated to you.  The underlying narrative comes through by the end, after you reached your goal.

Feel free to try this little fragment of a world that I conjured.
