Hi everyone!

My name is Arthur Kamienski, I am an MSc student at the Analytics of Software, GAmes And Repository Data (ASGAARD) lab (http://asgaard.ece.ualberta.ca) at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. In our lab, we study how we can leverage data analytics techniques to improve the user-perceived quality of software in a cost-effective manner.

I am currently studying Q&A websites for game development, such as Unity Answers and Unreal Engine 4 AnswerHub. My objective is to comprehend the learning process that developers go through when learning game development. For the next step of my research, we are running a survey to better understand how and why game developers use and interact with these Q&A websites and their communities.

I would thus like to invite all of you to answer the following survey. To participate, you should be comfortable in answering the survey in English. The estimated time to complete the survey is 15-20 minutes. All game developers are welcome, of all backgrounds and experience levels!

Please take some time to read the information about the study we are conducting (project number: Pro00101354) provided in this link before participating:

By answering the survey, you will not only be helping us gather data for our research, but you will also have the opportunity to participate in a lottery draw for a chance to win one of ten $25 CAD Steam gift cards! The expected probability of winning one of the prizes is 1 in 150.

If you have any questions, please send me an email at kamiensk [at] ualberta.ca. Other contact information can be found in the information letter above.

Hi everyone!

The survey is still running, and you still have the chance to participate in the lottery draw for ten $25 CAD Steam gift cards!

Thank you to all of you who answered the survey so far!
