This essay explores a variety of topics which are out of our control: the circumstances of our birth, the manifestations of superhuman entities in the world around us, even the interplay of our minds and senses. This feeling of powerlessness is underscored by a progression mechanic tied to the whims of Chance -- can get to Page 25 with only four bones?
